Location: Birmingham (south), West Midlands
Salary: circa £42,000 - £47,500 depending on experience
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Senior Accountant with an ACA or ACCA qualification and a minimum of 5 years UK practice experience, for a growing accountancy firm based in Kings Norton, Birmingham.

The ideal candidate:
- ACA or ACCA qualified
- 5+ years of practice experience
- Experience of reviewing Juniors work
- Experience in tax advisory role is preferable
- Strong practice experience and preparation of statutory year end accounts and SME - with businesses turnover between £1 million and £10 million
- Experience of preparing CT600s, personal tax, especially Capital Gains, issues related to domestic rental
- Experience in handling HMRC enquiries and Compliance checks.
- High level of Accounting standards, industry specifics and their applications
Key Roles and Responsibilities
- Accounts preparation for Limited companies, Sole Traders and Partnerships.
- Production of analysis and reports in preparation for client meetings
- Handle day to day enquiries and queries from clients
- Reviewing the work of more junior members of the team
- The job is client facing, so the successful applicant would need to be confident in speaking with clients.
Package offered:
- Salary range between £42k and £47.5k per annum depending on experience
- Whilst the job would be office based some flexibility in WFH could be arranged after a “bedding in period”.
