Location: Alfreton, Derbyshire
Salary: circa £38,000 - £45,000 depending on experience
An independent practice in the Alfreton area of Derbyshire is looking for an Accounts Senior to join their team. The practice is based in just one office location, which is central and easily accessed from surrounding areas.
The role is for a Senior who is ideally qualified with ACA, ACCA or by experience. There is progression available in the role, as the intention from the Directors is to train the incoming Accountant into a Manager.
There is also an option to enter as a Manager, if you have prior experience of managing an Accounts team.
Duties of the role:
- Managing a portfolio of clients which includes Companies, Charities, Partnerships and Sole traders
- Producing Accounts for clients and liaising with them for any queries
- Agreeing budgets with clients, updating them on the progress of work
- Working closely with the Directors
- Mentoring more junior staff, reviewing their work, helping with training
- Managing the Accounts team once working as a Manager
- Option to train in Tax if desired
The ideal candidate:
- 4+ years of practice experience
- Qualified with ACA/ACCA, or by experience if more time in practice
- Ideally have experience of mentoring/managing a team of Accountants
- Keen to enter into a Manager position in the next 1-2 years
- Local to the Alfreton area
The package:
- Full time position in Alfreton
- Salary circa £38,000 - £45,000 to start as a Senior, depending on experience
- Progression into a Manager
- Support from the Directors for ongoing progression
