Admin & Accounts Assistant
Hours: Part-time, Permanent (Expected hours: 16 per week)
Salary: Dependent on experience (Ask Recruiter Below)
Company Overview: A chartered certified accountancy practice based in Crewe. They offer a variety of accounting and taxation services. With a particular interest in start-up businesses specialising in setting up record keeping systems and providing assistance with self-assessment for the self-employed
The practice provides support to sole-traders, partnerships and limited companies with all aspects of accounts and tax compliance and managing the finance function to enable you to do what you do best - run your company.
Duties:
- Maintaining records accurately and efficiently
- Maintaining electronic and manual filing systems
- Meeting and greeting visitors
- Answering telephone and dealing with queries
- Communicating with clients
- Scanning documents - Inputting and processing transactions on accounting software
- Reconciling bank accounts
- Maintaining fixed asset registers
- Processing Payroll
- Posting wage journals, accruals and prepayments.
Skills:
- Confident use of Word and Excel
- Experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, and Xero
- Strong data entry skills with attention to detail
- Experience of VAT
- Payroll and bookkeeping experience.
- Understanding of double entry
