Admin & Accounts Assistant 

Hours
: Part-time, Permanent (Expected hours: 16 per week) 
Salary: Dependent on experience (Ask Recruiter Below)    


Company Overview: A chartered certified accountancy practice based in Crewe.  They offer a variety of accounting and taxation services.  With a particular interest in start-up businesses specialising in setting up record keeping systems and providing assistance with self-assessment for the self-employed 

The practice provides support to sole-traders, partnerships and limited companies with all aspects of accounts and tax compliance and managing the finance function to enable you to do what you do best - run your company. 

Duties: 

  • Maintaining records accurately and efficiently  
  • Maintaining electronic and manual filing systems  
  • Meeting and greeting visitors  
  • Answering telephone and dealing with queries 
  • Communicating with clients  
  • Scanning documents - Inputting and processing transactions on accounting software 
  • Reconciling bank accounts  
  • Maintaining fixed asset registers  
  • Processing Payroll  
  • Posting wage journals, accruals and prepayments. 


Skills:  

  • Confident use of Word and Excel  
  • Experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, and Xero  
  • Strong data entry skills with attention to detail  
  • Experience of VAT  
  • Payroll and bookkeeping experience.  
  • Understanding of double entry
