Practice Manager

Hours: Full-Time
Salary: £50,000-£65,000

i) have experience of, and continued desire to, work in a public accountancy practice, and
ii) already be based within a 40 minute commute of Hemel Hempstead either on a relaible transport link or owning your own car
iii) be a Chartered Accountant either ICAEW or ACCA who actually qualified in the UK, not overseas.

They are part of a rapidly growing group of companies providing the full range of outsourced accounting and administration services to both group companies and external clients alike.

The successful candidate will be a vital part of the finance team. As a member of the team you enjoy putting your accounting knowledge into practice, majoring on high attention to detail & working with both pace and integrity. Your work will be varied, making each day different & interesting and you will enjoy all aspects of working in an accounting practice. We train for both ICAEW and ACCA

Job description:
- Supervision/management of all aspects of a growing accounting team
- Preparation of monthly and annual management accounts
- Liaising with external auditors and stakeholders
- Analysis of financial data
- Regular contact with clients by telephone and online with Teams etc.
- Help preparing financial information and ensure the accuracy of financial data
- Check financial records for accuracy, ensuring activities are carried out in accordance with agreed procedures and best practice.
- Preparation of information and reports for internal and external use
- Working as part of a flexible team
- Beneficial but not essential Xero, SAGE and SAPA et al
- Work is hybrid with a minimum of 60% on site/office attendance
