Role overview
Working within the tax department, our client's expanding Private Client Team manages the complex tax affairs of individuals, families, trusts and businesses, and landed estates. You will provide taxation services to an allocated diverse portfolio of clients, having opportunities to build strong client relationships as their trusted advisor, in a role and environment where you can progress your career.
Responsibilities will include:
- Preparation and reviewing of trust and personal tax returns, assisted by other members of the team as appropriate
- Dealing with the Trust Registration Service
- Reporting property disposals under the 60 day reporting regime
- Preparation of inheritance tax returns for relevant property trusts
- Tax advisory work
- Dealing with HMRC enquiries
- Building and maintaining client relationships
- Identifying tax planning opportunities
- Provide training support to other team members
Person Specification
You will be STEP/CTA/ACA/ACCA qualified with experience working in trust or personal tax compliance. Management of other team members would be an advantage, as would knowledge of accounts preparation. You should be able to manage a client portfolio in a pro-active way and good organisation skills are essential. Part qualified candidates with existing experience in tax, or those qualified by experience, will also be considered.
