Semi-Senior Accountant  

Location: Rochdale 
Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent (Monday to Friday) 
Salary: £26,000.00 - £30,000.00 per year 

About:
We are now recruiting for a Semi-Senior Accountant to join a small size accountancy expanding practice. This role will cover a range of responsibilities in a variety of different areas of bookkeeping, accounts preparation and tax. The position is a full-time role. 

Your role will cover: 

  • Bookkeeping via a variety of digital systems.  
  • Preparation, calculation and submission of VAT returns to HMRC.  
  • Preparation of management accounts.  
  • Preparation, calculation and submission of Self-Assessment Returns to HMRC.  
  • Preparation of annual financial statements.  
  • Preparation, calculation and submission of Corporation Tax Returns to HMRC.  
  • Liaising with clients. 
  • Operating with a regular portfolio of clients. 


Qualifications:

  • A good set of IT skills, with experience and familiarity with Microsoft Office products, accounts, tax and bookkeeping software, preferably with good experience of Xero, QuickBooks, Sage, FreeAgent and IRIS/Digita. 
  • Good communication skills, able to confidently liaise with clients by telephone, e-mail and face to face 
  • Good organizational skills 
  • Able to work as both individually and within a team 
  • Preference will be given to candidates with experience within public practice. 
  • Preference will be given to candidates with AAT or above qualifications. 
  • 2 Years Experience (required)
