Location: Hoddesdon, Hertfordshire
Salary: circa £50,000 - £65,000 DOE
Company Overview: An independent practice in Hoddesdon is looking to hire a qualified Tax professional to help manage the Tax Team. There is an option either for an Assistant Manager for someone new to management, or a Tax Manager position for someone with more experience.
The ideal candidate will be CTA qualified and have plenty of practice experience, ideally with both personal and corporate tax. You will be mentoring, training, recruiting, and reviewing the work of the team, whilst working closely with the Senior Management/Director team.
Duties of the role:
- Managing the Tax Team, consisting of both personal tax and corporate tax services
- Managing your own portfolio of tax clients, including individuals, companies of all sizes, and charities
- Engaging within the tax team, and with other teams in the practice to encourage collaboration on projects and larger clients
- Liaising with clients, generating new business, and providing tax advice
- Supporting the Managers with new client meetings and preparing quotes for services
The ideal candidate:
- Must be CTA qualified
- Have at least 3 years of practice experience, specialising in Tax
- Ideally experience of working directly with Managers and Directors, and mentoring more junior members of the team
The package:
